Our Personal Care neighborhood offers a feeling of warmth and comfort. In addition, it is known for its atmosphere of independence, care and friendliness.
This area is designed for someone who requires assistance with activities of daily living. Our residents live in cozy studios and spacious suites with 24-hour nurse availability. They also enjoy three well-balanced meals each day in a cheerful common dining area. Residents also receive weekly housekeeping and medication management. For recreation, we offer plenty of enjoyable community activities, along with assistance to help residents participate.
Sometimes referred to as Assisted Living, this warm and friendly environment encourages independence, while offering expert care and support. We offer many different choices within our neighborhood. Please talk with us about which options may best meet your needs.
The terms “Assisted Living” and “Personal Care” were interchangeable until 2011 when the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania began licensing them separately. Today, a Personal Care home offers housing, meals and assistance with medications and activities of daily living. Assisted Living offers the same services but will provide Skilled Nursing care, if needed, with a goal of aging in place.
Our CCRCs hold a philosophy of aging in place as well, but we offer skilled services as part of the Continuum of Care, beginning with Independent Living and transitioning to Personal Care and Skilled Nursing (Healthcare) on an as-needed basis.
There is no funding available for either Personal Care or Assisted Living.
