Find the supportive environment you need with Personal Care

At The Community at Rockhill, our Personal Care residences encourage and empower residents to maintain the highest level of independence possible, while assuring their safety and comfort as they receive care.

Rockhill offers both traditional Personal Care residences as well as the option to live in one of our household-style communities, featuring a small-group residential setting.

Both friendly neighborhoods offer social opportunities.

Our Life Enrichment programming features over 100 activities each month. Opportunities abound to pursue existing interests or cultivate new ones… from yoga to quilting, mindfulness meditation to tai chi, and book clubs to trivia competitions.

All residents receive three balanced meals per day

Your loved one can indulge old favorites or explore new treats while enjoying this amenity of daily meals. In addition, all residents receive weekly housekeeping and linen services, medication administration, all utilities including cable TV, and 24-hour care and security.

In addition, our program affords residents assistance with daily living activities as needed—from showering to medication supervision.

The National Institute for Aging describes the requirements for proper nutrition in a continuing care retirement community.

The terms “Assisted Living” and “Personal Care” were interchangeable until 2011 when the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania began licensing them separately. Today, a Personal Care home offers housing, meals and assistance with medications and activities of daily living.  Assisted Living offers the same services but will provide Skilled Nursing care, if needed, with a goal of aging in place.

Our CCRCs hold a philosophy of aging in place as well, but we offer skilled services as part of the Continuum of Care, beginning with Independent Living and transitioning to Personal Care and Skilled Nursing (Healthcare) on an as needed basis.

There is no funding available for either Personal Care or Assisted Living.
