An Everyday Active Lifestyle

The Community at Rockhill’s Fitness & Wellness program, LiveWell, is thriving in 2026! With the recent overhaul and stunning renovation of the Wellness Center and Healthcare Clinic, more residents than ever are pursuing an active lifestyle! In addition to the state-of-the-art HUR equipment, convenient upgrades to the Aquatic Center and surrounding pool deck, salon & barber shop, massage room and enhanced aerobics studio, residents are looking forward to rediscovering our .8-mile long, bucolic nature trail this spring!

which includes a renewal of our existing Fitness & Aquatic Centers, repositioning our healthcare clinic along with more specialized care providers and an enhanced aerobics studio with new, state-of-the-art HUR exercise equipment

On December 2, 2025, Rockhill residents were invited to an official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Open House, where spirits were high as our CEO, Executive Director, Resident Association Chairperson and other team members unveiled the new space.

As LiveWell is part of our overarching Life Enrichment programming, Grace Inspired Living continues to center wellness at both its communities on six dimensions set forth by the nationwide Wellness Alliance (formerly known as the National Wellness Institute). We held a cognitive training opportunity on Tuesday, 2/24, in Rockhill’s multi-purpose room (MPR), “The Curious Mind” led by Barbara Dice, a speech-language pathologist with our on-site therapy partner, Symbria. Additionally, residents have been enjoying a Brain Boosting Bootcamp every week throughout February and March.

One of our most anticipated new initiatives, the LiveWell Adventure Club, has been making strides all over Bucks and Montgomery Counties! Our friends were buzzing online about the joint excursion to iFly in King of Prussia, PA, an indoor skydiving facility — we heard our courageous attendees rave about this once-in-a-lifetime experience upon their return. Next up? Archery, starting in April! Lastly, we will again be launching “Back 9 Boot Camp” training for golf season on March 5th. Be sure to follow us on Facebook so you never miss an update!

A Look Back: February is For Fitness!

Rockhill residents, as well as those from Rockhill’s sister campus, Lutheran Community at Telford (LCT), have been undergoing annual Fitness Assessments all month long with our LiveWell team. These include:

  1. Leg Strength: # of sit-to-stands in 30 seconds

  2. Arm Strength: # of bicep curls in 30 seconds

  3. Endurance: 2-minute Step Test + Marching for 2 mins.

  4. Lower Extremity Flexibility: a Hamstring Stretch, distance between hand to toes

  5. Upper Extremity Flexibility: a Back Scratch Test, distance between hands held behind back

  6. Agility/Coordination: Timed 8-Foot Up-and-Go (8UG) Test

Based on their average results (one of three levels), our Fitness Specialists create an individualized plan for each resident for the next year!

Have you seen our Community Corner series?

Every month, Rockhill’s Executive Director, Ted Leister, alternates with Ellen Shrager, the Executive Director of LCT, presenting an inside look at what’s happening at Grace Inspired Living through a “vlog” series hosted on our website.
