With over 200 activities and events listed on our monthly calendar, our Life Enrichment programs are enriching senior activities each month. From musical interludes to in-house comedy tours to historical lectures to movie nights, our residents can opt to stay busy, be hands-on or just relax and listen! The choice is always up to them!
Overseeing the more than 200 options listed on our monthly Activities Calendar, our Director of Life Enrichment, Nicole Brennon, oversees all the options on our monthly Activity Calendar.
Whatever the activity, our Person-Centered Philosophy is center stage in all her planning. Nicole focuses on the six dimensions of Wellness as outlined by the National Institute on Wellness: physical, emotional, social, intellectual, occupational and spiritual. This results in a wide-range of activities such as exercise programs, meditation classes, trivia, card clubs, educational lectures, book clubs, wood shop or faith discussions.
Helping Nicole plan and discover new programs is the resident-led Life Enrichment Committee. This group meets monthly to discuss programs, new interests and current activities. “Residents really take ownership of the programs,” she explains. “I can help get them up and running but the residents are passionate about their activities.”
While she does host the monthly committee, Nicole is quick to add that any resident in the community is welcome to suggest a new activity, group or trip. “I’m here to help residents keep their passions or find a new one,” she said.
The goal of our Life Enrichment program is to provide enriching senior activities that offer fun, sociable and mentally stimulating choices based on personal interest and individual attention.
