While there is never a lack of fun and activities in our community, all levels of our team put on their elf hats and ensured residents had a Holly Jolly Holiday Season this December!
From the wreaths and garlands outlining our buildings to the multitude of trees in our lobbies to the musical interludes highlighting our events calendar, Life Enrichment, Activities, Maintenance and Dining staff all made sure the season sparkled. For those hands-on, crafty residents (or those just willing to try something new), our Arts Center hosted a create-your-own evergreen holiday door swag. These crafty residents also gained a handy item to hang up for the annual “Deck the Halls” contest. Contest prizes included Judge’s Favorite and Most Creative. And while we can’t speak to his naughty or nice list, Santa chatted with residents during a cookie and treat reception. This reception also featured a collection of 300 Santa replicas.
And finally, what are the holidays without a festive meal? Our apartment and cottage residents donned their merriest garb and gathered at one of our four “It’s beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas” holiday celebration meals. Our Personal Care, Memory Care and Health Care residents also marked the season with a holiday meal celebration as well.
Even with all these festivities, there’s still one more big event left in our holiday repertoire: New Year’s Eve! To begin the festivities, dining hosts a full holiday spread followed by an all-night Party with games, prizes and fun with fellow residents.
