Lutheran Community at Telford, an affiliate of Grace Inspired Ministries, held its ceremonial Summerfield senior living cottages groundbreaking for the $45 million expansion project on Monday, December 9, 2019. Over 70 people attended the event, including senior management of Grace Inspired Ministries and the Lutheran Community at Telford, board members, federal, state and local dignitaries, and prospective residents.
The Summerfield Groundbreaking was a key moment in this expansion project, a part of the community’s master plan, which began its inception in 2008. The two-phase project includes 66 senior living cottages, a 14-unit, two-story apartment building and a clubhouse for residents. Thirty-two cottage homes will be built in Phase I of the project. There will be an expansion of the existing walking trail as well with benches, trash cans, dog waste stations and lighting.
