The Community at Rockhill celebrated its 2nd annual Spring Soirée on Wednesday, April 24, at the Indian Valley Country Club, Telford.
Over 125 friends and supporters of the community attended the event, raising over $45,000 for The Community at Rockhill’s Benevolent Care Fund. This fund allows residents to have peace of mind that, should they exhaust their assets, a safety net ensures their financial obligations are met, and that they can continue to live and thrive at Rockhill.
The evening’s Keynote speaker was Jay Scott who brought two perspectives to his work with Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation: one as Co-Executive Director with his wife Liz and one as the Alex’s father. In his keynote, Jay shared stories of Alex, her drive and determination, her inception of the Lemonade Stand concept and how the Foundation works today, including examples of research funding and successes.
Topping off the Spring Soirée was a silent auction of 14 prize baskets, donated by various supporters of the community, along with Rockhill’s own Lemonade Stand for the evening, which raised nearly $520 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
