DESCRIPTION:Please join us for an Art Gallery Opening Reception at The Gallery at Rockhill featuring Rockhill’s own resident artist\, Diane Maurer\, on Saturday\, January 31st\, from 1-3 p.m. Light fare will be provided. Maurer’s artwork will be on view from January 31st through March 13th\, 2026. \nDiane has resided at The Community at Rockhill since May 2025. (She recalls moving in during Cinco de Mayo!) What once began as a hobby for Diane quickly became her life’s work and love\, having grown more serious about painting in her twenties. Diane holds a Bachelors of Fine Art degree from the Moore College of Art in Philadelphia. She also studied interior design but found she was most passionate about watercolor painting\, which she later taught at Montgomery County Community College in a full-circle moment. Diane also had her own art studio until the COVID-19 pandemic changed our world. Diane loves the translucence of watercolor paintings — a quality that can be found throughout all of her exquisite work.
